Blood+

Blood+ is an anime that has received tremendous amount of negative comments. Saying the series is riding in its movie franchise’s hype and popularity. Well, i must say that in my opinion, they are correct(that’s what i thought) . To tell you guys honestly, i watched this anime because the movie is popular, its a pity isn’t it? despite that, if you pursue this anime i think you will be rewarded with joy.

As i started with episode 1, i thought Saya(the heroine) looked so lame compared to the saya in the movie, i assumed she is going to mature in the later episodes so i didn’t put much attention to her appearance and focused more on the story. There are a lot of boring scenes in this anime, if you start getting bored with it, you will probably make an excuse inside your head that this is another cliche’d vampire story. But as for me, there is this desire to know more about Saya, I am trying to find out the connection between the story of the series and the anime. I did not give up watching it, until episode24, when Diva (saya’s evil sister) victimized Riku (saya’s little brother but unrelated by blood). I think that the story had picked up from there. And also the fight scenes were getting better and better each episode. I also like the characters like Kai(saya’s brother older than Riku) and the chevaliers Haji and Solomon. I am just a little irritated that they put too much importance to saya rather than themselves. But above anything else, they are really good charcters. I also like the the character of Amshel (senior like chevalier amongts Diva’s Chevalier), not the personality of course but the character design and the original japanese voice. It fits his personality perfectly!

Haji

I decided to continue watching Blood+ until the very end. And i can say i am quite satisfied with the ending although i was aiming and wishing for another scenario. I was hoping that Saya truly be “The Last Vampire” like the movie’s title, thus there will be a connection between the two. But oh well…i did not happen. My overall rating for this movie is 9 out of 10.

My advice for people who would like to watch it……..PATIENCE and a lot of free time since this is a 50 episode anime.
